Doreen Shiwrajni Madramuthu, age 91, died January 21, 2018 at Pruitt Health Facility surrounded by her children and grandchildren.
Born November 11, 1926 in Berbice, Guyana, she emigrated to the US in 1976 and became a Citizen, living in New York, Florida and Savannah, GA.
Mrs. Madramuthu graduated Bishops High School and Teacher’s Training College, Georgetown, Guyana, and worked as a Teacher for 20 years and Head Mistress for 10 years in Guyana. After coming to the US she worked as a Cost Accountant for Swingline Corp. until she retired and moved to Savannah in 1990. She was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church, Savannah, GA.
Surviving are Devanand Persaud, Anne and Peter Outarsingh, Barbara Bozzacco-Blitch and Scott Blitch, Godfrey and Susan Madramootoo, Pauline Rampersaud Madramootoo, David Madramootoo, and Alan Madramootoo; grandchildren, Shane Bozzacco, Dane Ringler, Zachary Madramootoo, Colby Madramootoo, Tiffany Madramootoo, Ryan Lee Outarsingh, Kayla Rampersaud, Cheyenne Blitch, Brianna Rampersaud, Asher Outarsingh, Priya Persaud, and Emmanuel Madramootoo; great-grandchild, Thomas Williams, Jr. (TJ); and her brother & sister-in-law, Basil and Raj Raghubir.
The family will receive friends from 5pm - 7pm on Friday, 01/26/2018, at Fox & Weeks Funeral Directors, at 7200 Hodgson Memorial Drive, Savannah, GA 31406.
The Funeral Service will be at 1 pm Saturday, 01/27/2018, at Trinity Lutheran Church, 12391 Mercy Blvd. Savannah, GA 31419.
Cremation will follow at Fox & Weeks Funeral Directors.
